Though Apple has dropped the "Cinema Display" manufacturer from this new product, it will still apply. This is a monitor that is certainly geared towards the enjoyment of multimedia content like movies, photos as well as video games. The use of high-gloss glass instead of a matte surface is proof of that. It leads to more glare, but also drastically increases contrast. Images seem to have real "pop" and don't suffer from grainy details if viewed closely.
